France - Vive La France (August 25th - August 29th)(continued)
They had chickens, cows, horses and my friend the goat. I just called him Billy.
Here he is enjoying some French bread. I bet he would like some nutella on it too.
This part of Normandy is known as Little Switzerland and the hills have snuck up on me but good preparation for the Pyrenees ahead. Cycling hills means frequent stops for lunch.
For those following along on maps, tomorrow I will be passing about 40km to the west of Rennes, heading in a south and westerly direction until I get to the coast and then south to Bordeaux and then to the Pyrenees and the town of St. Jean-Pied-de-Port, where I hope to pick up the Camino de Santiago for my 30-day hike.
